Advent is here, and as always its four Sundays focused on Hope, Peace, Joy, and Love will culminate with the joy of Christmas Eve. But because of the pandemic, things will be different this year.
The Sunday morning spiritual gatherings during Advent (November 29 – Hope, December 6 – Peace, December 13 – Joy, and December 20 – Love ) all happened at Mill Woods United Church at 10:30 am. Starting on December 6, there was no in-person component. Instead, people can join the service via Facebook Live,

December 21 Family Christmas Time Gathering has been POSTPONED to 2021: We are betting that 2021 will be a better and safer year for the joyous group singing, storytelling and eating together that has been the hallmark of our past Christmas gatherings. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to December 2021 when once again we can all come together, sing, share stories, and enjoy Christmas goodies together. Thank you. Christmas Eve, 7 pm on Facebook Live
Because of Alberta government regulations, we have postponed a planned 4:30 pm outdoor service until 2021.
At 7 pm on Thursday December 24, we will livestream a service that will include a Christmas message, plenty of carols, and candle light. Please consider having a candle or candles at home so that you can light it as we sing “Silent Night.”
A recording of this service will also be available later via this website, Facebook, and the church’s YouTube channel.
